Regain your balance and well-being with the help of osteopathy
Modern life exposes us to many forms of stress on a daily basis. Whether you’re sitting in front of a computer screen for hours on end, putting intense strain on your body through physical activity or juggling family responsibilities, this stress eventually accumulates and can translate into a variety of aches and strains: backache, lumbago, lower back pain, stiff neck and shoulders, migraines, headachesdigestive problems, menstrual pain, etc.
Our bodies have an incredible capacity to adapt, but sometimes a “little bit too much” can cause the vase to overflow (lumbago, sciatica, burn-out…). This is where osteopathy comes in: your osteopath listens to you and analyzes your daily environment to identify the root cause of this imbalance, the “grain of sand” responsible for your discomfort. Using gentle, targeted manual techniques, we help you relieve pain, reduce accumulated stress and regain better posture.

FAQ osteopathic treatment at Swiss Osteo Lausanne
How does my first session work?
The session lasts 50-60 min and comprises 3 stages:
- Medical history: Our role is to understand exactly why you are coming to us, by analyzing your symptoms, medical and surgical history, and current treatments. We also explore the factors and context of your life that may be influencing your condition (work, stress, activities, lifestyle habits). This assessment enables us to identify any suspicious signs to rule out serious pathologies and, if necessary, refer you to a doctor or specialist.
- Clinical examination: We perform targeted orthopedic and neurological tests, then manually assess your tissues and joints in comfortable undergarments. This step enables us to confirm our hypotheses and locate the areas to be treated.
- Treatment: We apply manual techniques adapted to your problem and sensitivity, with your consent, according to the objective defined together. The session ends with practical advice, based on scientific evidence, to optimize your recovery and limit recurrence.

Is osteopathy reimbursed?
In Switzerland, osteopathy sessions are not reimbursed by basic health insurance (LAMal). To be reimbursed, you need supplementary insurance that covers alternative medicine. At Swiss Osteo, we are all ASCA and RME certified, two nationally recognized quality labels guaranteeing a high level of professionalism and training. This allows us to be reimbursed by all Swiss complementary health insurance companies, with the exception of Visana. For the latter, only Boris Hueber and Camille Bondil are on Visana’s official list.
Payment is made directly at the practice (cash, Twint or credit card), and we provide you with a reimbursement receipt to send to your complementary health insurance provider for reimbursement.
You don’t need a doctor’s prescription to see an osteopath: you can book an appointment whenever you feel the need.
