Massage therapy, sports massage and relaxation
Release tension. Support recovery. Regulate the nervous system.
At Swiss Osteo in Lausanne, massage therapy is a natural part of a holistic approach to health. Our vision combines modern osteopathy, functional medicine and massage therapy to support the body’s natural capacity for adaptation, recovery and self-regulation.
A tugging back, a stiff neck, tense shoulders… Sometimes the body accumulates tension until it finally expresses it. Muscle pain, physical fatigue, prolonged stress or difficulty recovering from exertion can progressively limit mobility and create a feeling of blockage in the body.
Over time, these tensions can take their toll on everyday life. Movements become less fluid, certain areas remain sensitive and the body finds it harder to recover.
Therapeutic massage provides a space for the body to release these tensions and gradually regain comfort, flexibility and balance.
At Swiss Osteo Lausanne, we offer different types of massage:
- therapeutic massage
- sports massage
- relaxing massage
- meditative anti-stress massage
- foot reflexology
Treatments are provided by Alexandro Rojas, a therapist qualified in classical massage and foot reflexology, with an approach centered on listening, precision of gesture and regulation of the nervous system.
Massages are offered at the practice:
Friday: 9 am – 7 pm
Saturday: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
Our treatments are recognized by ASCA and RME, which means they are covered by the majority of complementary alternative medicine insurances.
At present, therapeutic massages are not reimbursed by AXA, Assura and Visana. We recommend that you check directly with your insurance company.
A massage approach focused on body regulation
Alexandro Rojas’ path to manual therapy was built on a deep understanding of the body as a space for sensory, nervous and emotional regulation.
This understanding gradually evolved into a quality of listening and presence that now forms the core of his practice.
Each person arrives with :
- its history
- its rhythm
- its specific tensions
The therapist’s role is to take the time to understand what the body is expressing at that moment: pain, fatigue, sports recovery, physical overload or stress.
Massage isn’t just about working the muscles. It also acts on the regulation of the autonomic nervous system, which plays a central role in :
- recovery
- stress management
- sleep quality
- tissue regeneration
The body can only relax deeply when it feels safe. It is in this state that the body’s natural recovery mechanisms can be activated.
No miracle promises or instant solutions. It’s about your session, your space, your moment.
The therapeutic framework is designed to enable real relaxation and conscious work with the body.
An integrative approach with osteopathy and functional medicine
At Swiss Osteo Lausanne, massage is part of a holistic approach to health.
The firm’s different approaches complement each other:
Osteopathy
works on joint mobility, pain modulation and functional balance.
Functional medicine
analyzes the underlying biological imbalances: inflammation, hormones, metabolism or microbiota.
Therapeutic massage
acts on muscle tissue, circulation and nervous system regulation.
Together, these approaches make it possible to act on :
- body structure
- physiology
- biological terrain
This complementarity strengthens the coherence and effectiveness of our care.
Who are massages for?
The massages offered at the practice can be useful for :
- people suffering from muscle pain
- athletes in the recovery phase
- people with stress or mental overload
- osteopathic patients

Massage therapy in Lausanne
Therapeutic massage is particularly indicated when muscular tension or persistent pain limits comfort and mobility.
It can be useful in case of :
- back pain
- cervical tensions
- muscular contractures
- work-related pain or prolonged postures
- muscular fatigue
- difficult physical recovery
Therapeutic massage is based on various manual techniques:
- deep pressure
- tissue mobilization
- gentle stretching
- work on breathing
- myofascial relaxation
These techniques enable us to act directly on the areas that accumulate tension.
This work can allow the body to gradually recover :
- more mobility
- better circulation
- reduced pain
- more efficient recovery
In some cases, therapeutic massage is part of a multi-session program to support the body’s long-term recovery.
It is also an effective complement to osteopathic treatment when the muscular dimension is predominant.
Sports massage - recovery and performance
Sports massage in Lausanne is designed for active people and athletes, whether amateur or professional.
It can be used in several contexts:
Before exertion
Massage allows you to :
- warm up the muscle
- stimulate blood circulation
- prepare tissues for physical activity
After exercise
Sports massage promotes :
- muscle recovery
- drainage of metabolic waste
- less aches and pains
- prevention of contractures
The techniques used are often deeper and more stimulating. Work can be targeted on certain areas depending on the sport: legs, back, shoulders or arms.
This massage is an invaluable tool for :
- optimize recovery
- prevent injuries
- support regular training
Relaxing massage - deep body relaxation
Relaxing massage, similar to Swedish massage, aims for deep, overall relaxation.
In a daily life often marked by stress and mental overload, this massage offers a real moment of pause.
The movements are :
- fluids
- wraps
- progressive
They promote :
- muscle relaxation
- stress reduction
- an overall sense of well-being
- improved sleep
This is a moment when the person can fully relax and enter into a feeling of calm and recuperation.
Meditative anti-stress massage
Meditative anti-stress massage goes beyond simple relaxation.
It aims to gradually bring attention back to the body and the present moment.
This massage is particularly effective on :
- stress-related tensions
- nervous fatigue
- mental overload
It promotes :
- regulation of the nervous system
- relaxation of psychological tensions
- greater body awareness
- a sense of support and security
Unlike classic relaxation massage, it’s not just about immediate relaxation, but a deeper rebalancing of the nervous system.
