Naturopathy
Naturopathy can be used as an adjunct to medical treatment, for prevention or simply to offer you a space for exchange and relaxation. A naturopath will be able to advise you in the following situations: health prevention, chronic health problems, immune system support – allergies, winter infections, dermatological disorders, stress management, lack of energy, acute health problems, digestive disorders, weight variation, disorders of the female cycle, or simply if you’re looking for a transition to a healthier lifestyle and an improvement in your lifestyle hygiene.
Naturopathy
Naturopathy has its roots in various ancient currents, notably inspired by the medical principles enunciated by Hippocrates of Cos, often referred to as the “father of medicine”, in ancient Greece. Comparable to Ayurveda in India and traditional Chinese medicine in China, naturopathy represents traditional European medicine. In Switzerland, it is recognized at federal level.
Naturopathy adopts a holistic approach to the individual, respecting natural laws and physiological needs in order to consider the person as a whole. In naturopathy, illness is interpreted as the result of an imbalance in the “terrain”, with symptoms serving as indicators of this imbalance. The body, in its constant quest for homeostasis or balance, can be disturbed by the accumulation of toxins, inadequate assimilation of nutrients, insufficient elimination of waste products (emunctorial), as well as nutritional deficiencies.
Nutritherapy
If you have goals such as losing weight, better managing your blood sugar or cholesterol, taking care of your bowels, or simply optimizing your energy, I offer a personalized assessment and advice tailored to your specific needs. To begin with, an in-depth assessment will help us understand your current situation, your eating habits, your level of physical activity, and other factors relevant to your overall well-being. By examining these aspects, we’ll be able to identify areas to target and set realistic, achievable goals. Depending on your needs, I’ll provide personalized advice that could include adjustments to your diet, recommendations for adapted physical activity, strategies for improving stress management, and suggestions for promoting gut health. The approach will be holistic, taking into account the complex interaction between your diet, lifestyle and overall health. The aim is to help you achieve your goals in a sustainable way, by adopting changes that fit naturally into your daily routine.
Phytotherapy
Phytotherapy is the art of promoting healing through the use of plants, considered to be therapeutic treasures with few side effects. These plants can be used for preventive or curative purposes, in the form of herbal teas, mother tinctures, standardized fresh plant extracts, bud macerates (gemmotherapy) or dry extracts. Whenever possible, I prefer to use plants from our own regions. The quality of my remedies and the guarantee of their origin are of paramount importance in my approach.
Installing suction cups
Used as a drainage method and/or manual therapy, cupping can be applied in a variety of ways, depending on the problem or request. The cupping technique can be recommended in situations such as inflammatory conditions, influenza, muscle and joint pain, digestive and hormonal disorders, and so on. This treatment aims to alleviate pain, promote a feeling of relaxation, reduce congestion and stimulate the immune system.
Reflexology
Reflexology is a therapeutic approach designed to reinforce physical and mental self-regulation mechanisms. This technique involves the stimulation of reflex zones on the feet by gentle finger massage, as these zones reflect all the organs and parts of the body. The practice of reflexology can thus be beneficial for inducing nervous and muscular relaxation, relieving pain, improving blood and lymph circulation, promoting better sleep, reducing stress and boosting the immune system.
